What is the first recipe you ever baked?
Bread pudding. I fell in love with it when I first came to the United States and later made it in Thailand with day-old croissants.
What’s your go-to dessert?
Coconut cream pie and bread pudding.
What are some of your favorite flavor combinations for desserts/baked goods?
Pandan & coconut, guava & cream cheese
What inspired you to become a chef?
My mom and my love for being in the kitchen with her.
What advice would you offer to anyone looking to start a culinary career?
Be prepared to work hard and don’t do it for the money. The smiles your food puts on people’s faces is the biggest reward.
