Monarch School

Friendly Feast is honored to support Monarch School through culinary fundraisers, such as the annual Chef-Driven Bake Sale. The public school in Barrio Logan serves students from kindergarten to grade 12 who are affected by homelessness, and provides the skills and tools they need to become successful members of their families and society.

Monarch School has served San Diego for nearly three decades, starting as a one-room education center in 1987, and expanding into a K-12 comprehensive school designed to educate homeless youth and break the cycle of homelessness. There are currently more than 1.2 million homeless students nationwide and 23,000 in San Diego County alone. Learn more about Monarch School’s history and mission here.
